Dr. Ram Kalus, MD, FACS is a board-certified plastic surgeon based in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Born in Tel Aviv and raised in New York City, he earned his B.A. cum laude in Psychology and his MD from Boston University. He completed general surgery training at Hartford Hospital and the University of Connecticut, followed by fellowships in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, UMass Medical Center and the Hospital for Sick Children in Paris. In 1997 he founded Plastic Surgery of the Carolinas, where he offers state-of-the-art aesthetic and reconstructive procedures of the face, breast and body—always striving for a natural, “un-operated” result. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and active member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, he also volunteers internationally, providing reconstructive and pediatric plastic surgery in Israel and Ukraine. Dr. Kalus graduated from Boston University School of Medicine in 1982 and brings over 40 years of experience in cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is affiliated with Roper Hospital in Charleston and welcomes new patients seeking everything from facial rejuvenation and breast enhancement to advanced body-contouring procedures.
